Leaves ll oil on canvas ll 50 × 50 × 4 cm
This original work is a highly textured expressionist work inspired by the leaves of the Plane trees in Hyde Park, Perth. In spring, summer and even early autumn the leaves sit in vibrant contrast against the blue sky. Even during these months leaves fall from the trees during heavy winds. This work captures that moment, watching the leaves fall from the trees and the light uniquely hitting each leaf, sometimes in ways contrary to what the eye expects.
This original work exclusively uses oil paints on primed and stretched canvas.
This medium piece naturally suits most environments, adding some life and green to any room, from bedrooms, studies, offices, kitchens, entryways or dining areas.
The work is signed on the front and has a signed stamp of authenticity on the back of the canvas. The work is varnished and strung with cord, ready for immediate hanging.
